Thorne is a Fighter of Jhelom.
Meeting him in Ultima V, Thorne was very eager to exchange battle stories, telling the one where a gang of Trolls had had the gall to try to rob him, and he'd made them sorry. Thorne openly admitted that the Avatar should ask Trian about the word of power. When asked about the mantra of Courage, Thorne asked the Avatar whom the hero serves. Declaring Lord British to be the true king convinced Thorne to reveal the mantra "RA" to the Avatar. Thorne also had some things to say about the secret passages in dungeons, and how to activate them.
