The Book of Mystic Wisdom

The Book of Mystic Wisdom comes with Ultima IV. It is 61 pages long. In-game, Philpop the Weary is the author of the book, and it is prominent in the intro where the player doesn't dare to open it (curious, since the Stranger should know magic). In real-life, Dave Albert has written the book.

The following topics are part of the book:

  • The Reagents of Magic
  • The 26 magic spells

The book consists half of illustrations for each spell, which are very well drawn. Also, the cover of the book has metallic looking rune letters, which also looks very good and enhances the illusion of it being a real spellbook.
