Thad is a masked man hiding in the forests near Yew.
The Avatar encountered him in the forest in Ultima VII. Thad at first was very careful with what he said, but later opened up. Thad claimed that his sister Millie had been seduced by the Fellowship, and how he believed this had changed her. By that time, Thad had regarded the Fellowship as an evil organisation and intended to kill them all.
Upon questioning Millie about her brother Thad, she became aggressive and spoke ill of him, and just because he was against the Fellowship she cut every tie to him.
