The Spellbook comes with Ultima IX. It is 40 pages long. In-game, a unknown mage is the author of the book, and it is found in-game as well. In real-life, Tonda Mueller has written the book.
The following topics are part of the book:
- Foreword
- The Basics
- The reagents
- Words of Power
- Spells
- Rituals
- Moongates
- Other magic
The Spellbook actually isn't a very good book, as there are not only countless errors in it, but it is also written in a horrible style, which makes it hard to read at all. It is no equal to all previous books.
Notes
- A Spellbook is also an item in Ultima VI, Ultima VII and Ultima VII/2. It must be held in hand to cast spells in these games.
