Roderick is a destitute, stinking beggar who, during the time of Ultima IV, can be found outside the entrance to Serpent's Hold.
He is unable to work due to his hand being eaten by a Zorn. Thevel directs the Stranger to find Roderick and ask of the Orbs and upon doing so he will tell that they raise "strength, dexterity or intelligence but at a cost".
