Relk is the captain of the Guard in Killorn Keep.
Upon meeting the Avatar in Ultima Underworld II, Relk revealed his job, and accidentally let slip he knew the Avatar's name, before inviting the hero to his quarters. There he revealed that the Guardian had warned him about the Avatar, and that he had a deep grudge against Lobar, who he thinks of as unworthy of hearing the Guardian. However, he died in the following confrontation.
In the aftermath it became clear that Relk had been pretty much disliked. Lord Thibris wrote the whole thing off as an accident, Mystell only mildly scolded the Avatar, and Lobar had disliked Relk anyway and was happy for now being the new captain. Only Altara told the Avatar to be more careful in the future.
