Ragnar is a solemn ranger that could be found in Buccaneer's Den during Ultima IV. He didn't live there, however, as he travelled the lands of Britannia.

The Stranger, following a tip from Sebastian in Britain, went to the Captain Black Tavern in order to look for information about the Skull of Mondain. The Stranger found Ragnar inside the pub, and asked him about the skull. Ragnar warned the Stranger that if the hero ever used the skull except to destroy it, all of the Stranger's virtues would be lost.
