Polly is the owner of the Salty Dog tavern in Paws, a hard-working and humble woman.
The Avatar met her in her tavern in Ultima VII after talking with Morfin about the theft of his Silver Serpent Venom. In Polly's opinion, it was no wonder that he had been stolen from, since he was the wealthiest man in the village. She added that the Avatar should be careful, since Morfin had few scruples.
She then talked about her job, and that her tavern, even though it was only a relatively small business, was her life, offering a room and food or drinks. Later, after the Avatar had heard from Thurston how much he liked Polly, the hero relayed this information, and Polly revealed how she had harboured a crush on him for quite some time already. The Avatar gave this answer to Thurston, who was overjoyed that she returned his feelings.
