Paulette is a dead tavern maid in Skara Brae.
At the night when the city went up into flames, she became scared and ran to her room, only to then die from smoke inhalation, waking up as a Ghost bound to the command of Horance, the Liche.
When the Avatar met her in Ultima VII, she wasn't that much of a help regarding the crisis at hand. However she had some things to say about the fire itself and about Caine "The Tortured One." After speaking with her, Mordra revealed that Paulette's father actually was a traveler from another world.
However, Paulette was later unwilling to make the final sacrifice, saying that she wasn't so stupid as to jump into the Well of Souls. When it was finally destroyed, her soul escaped to the void, finally at peace.
