Magaretha
Magaretha is a gypsy fortune teller, having taken up camp in Minoc in Ultima VII. She is a key player, as without her powers to tell the fortune, the Avatar wouldn't know what to do.
The Avatar met her in Ultima VII, after two gypsies of her clan had been horribly murdered by Hook. She was saddened by the loss and the brainwashing of the victim's son, Sasha by the Fellowship. She felt that the Fellowship was no good news and that Britannia was in danger. Also the possiblility that her people's way was dying out lasted heavy on her. She told the Avatar as much about his/her fortune as possible, revealing that he/she had to speak with the Xorinite Wisp to further the quest. It cost her, however, much strength, as the Guardian tried to block her efforts.
Trivia
- Without her help, the Avatar can't get any further. It is a key point in the story and game to talk with her.
