Jospur is an old warrior in the Pits of Carnage who organises battles.
It was a little surprising for the Avatar to find such an old man in the Pits in Ultima Underworld II, but Jospur made it clear that he had made himself irreplaceable by organising fights and taking bets. Indeed, he offered the Avatar battles in any arena of choice for 5 gold piece against up to 5 warriors. The more warriors, the higher the stakes, the more money could be won.
After the Avatar had massacred several groups of 5 warriors, Jospur tried to stop this business, feeling that this was only a loss for him. However, the Avatar threatened to reveal to the others that Jospur was refusing his services, which made Jospur continue to offer fights to the Avatar, and in each new battle he sighed in resignation, asking how many warriors the Avatar now wished to face.

- Jospur's organised battles are one of the best way to quickly get a lot of money and experience points. They are especially easy once the Sword of Stone Strike is obtained.
