Janar is a Goblin warrior on Tarna, who has multiple jobs.
When the Avatar spoke to Janar in the Prison Tower in Ultima Underworld II, Janar revealed himself to be a far more relaxed Goblin than the others. In his position as the kitchen chef he invited the Avatar to a snack. Later, when freeing the remaining prisoners of Tarna, the Avatar gave Janar the password received from Borne to receive the keys to the cells.
That was Janar's last error, as the freed Garg killed every single Goblin in the tower, including Janar.
