Inns are a source of pride for several Britannian townes and villages.
Inns provide safe, restful accommodations where travellers can retreat after a long, hard day. Most inns also offer fine dining facilities on-site. Prices will vary from one to another, but even the most inexpensive inn is a welcome home away from home for the weary adventurer. They are comfortable, reasonably-priced, and usually provide a good, healing night's rest. The inn on the island city of Skara Brae even boasts a magnificent view. Many inns can provide for long stays -- if a party member has a longer-term need for lodging, the party can rent a room by the month and have their friend rejoin them at a later date.
History[]
After appearing in Ultima IV, the rules for Inns mostly stayed the same. Ultima V Inns introduced the ability to drop off a party member and pick them up later. Almost all Inns merged with the Taverns by Ultima VII.
Lore[]
The numerous inns of Britannia provide the tired travelers with a comfortable night's sleep, which refreshes and revitalizes each character. The character of the inns throughout Britannia varies, as does the price.
