Frost Sword

The frost sword is highly effective weapon -- its very existence almost seems born of a desire for an unfair advantage. While its blows alone are deadly, the frost sword also has the special power of a 40% probability that the hit freezes the warrior's foe solid, making it an easy target for the killing blow. However, if not quickly dispatched, the frozen foe will return to life. This weapon is especially effective against daemons and hellhounds. In Ultima IX it is the best way to kill phase spiders.

In the age of Ultima IX, one of these swords was found on a iceberg in northern Britannia, while they could be bought in the guild shop of Buccaneer's Den.
