Fishing Rod

Besides having bait on one's hook, the fishing rod is an essential element of catching fish. Used properly close to water with fish in it, it can secure a steady supply of food for the adventurer. When caught unprepared, it can be pressed into service as a weapon, but not a particularly effective one, as it does little damage and requires two hands to use.

A fishing rod has a damage rating of "1."

Fish can be caught in Savage Empire using a fishing rod near deep water, but the rod is not a usable weapon.
