David on the NES
David and his family are the lighthousekeepers of Greyhaven, located south of Trinsic, in Ultima V.
After getting a hint from the bard Scally in Buccaneer's Den, the Avatar visited Greyhaven to ask David about his invention, the sextant. David was willing to give it the Avatar, after getting some praise for the invention, feeling that the hero had more use for it.
David otherwise proved quiet, and was somewhat annoyed with his wife Charlotte's positive outlook on the regime imposed by Blackthorn.

- Since the sextant was already available in Ultima IV, it is hardly a new invention.
