The Blackrock Jewel

The Blackrock Jewel was a by-product of the Guardian's magic in Ultima Underworld II, which created the Blackrock Dome. As with the generators, the big jewel is the central focus point of the whole construct. However, it is also the dome's biggest weakness.

The jewel also acts as a gateway to other worlds. There are eight facets of the jewel that lead to eight different worlds:

• Tarna
• Killorn Keep
• Anodunos
• Talorus
• Scintillus Academy
• Pits of Carnage
• Rhiannon
• Ethereal Void

Passage to any of these worlds is possible only when a facet is alit.

The Avatar found the Jewel in the sewers under Castle Britannia and used it to travel to other worlds. Using the small Blackrock Gems on it opened the passages to more worlds while at the same time making it unstable. When the Blackrock Dome was shattered, the Blackrock Jewel was destroyed as well, closing the gateway.
