A sleeping mat in Ultima VIII
No one wants to sleep on a hard and cold ground, not even a hardy warrior. So when night falls on an adventurer, a bedroll is ideal. Not only is it soft, but most of them are actually sleeping bags, keeping the warrior warm as well. This item facilitates a restful night of sleep, giving a good head start for the next day.
Sleeping mats/bags first appeared in Ultima Underworld I. After that they appeared with the same function in Ultima VII, Ultima Underworld II, Ultima VII Part Two and Ultima VIII.
