Ambrose is a frail fighter recuperating at Sanctuary, the healer's house, in Cove. He only awakens for a short period after 11 P.M.
Ambrose told the Avatar of the great battle he was in while searching for the Mystic Weapons and Mystic Armour within dungeon Hythloth. He indicated that past the lava north of the underground entrance is where the Mystic Arms and Armour are said to lie and that the Mystic Weapons are only effective near great evil and only the Mystic Armour protected in these places.
